How It Works
Are you thinking about making some changes to your home?
Stage 1 – Pre-planning:
Cost is often the most important factor when planning change. We would suggest that you use “money no object” approach as this allows for your vision to fully develop. It’s then up to us to work with you on the best options within your budget.
What do you need to consider?
Space: How the room is currently used? What works, what doesn’t? What would you like to have?
Light: What direction is your home facing? Is the room dark? What will the room be used for and what is the light requirement?
Traffic: Is the room connecting two other main rooms? Will there be a main walkway through the room?
Stage 2: – Assessment and quotation of work
Contact us to arrange a no-obligation meeting. – We will call to your home with our architect to discuss your idea with you. We will make suggestions and advise you as to whether you will need planning permission. We will also advise on any safety or security issues. We will take careful notes and prepare and submit a preliminary quotation to you within ten days.
Stage 3 – Engagement, contract & finalise plan
When you are happy to proceed, the architect will finalise drawings. We will agree the time-frame, the payment schedule, and agree and sign the contract. Our payment schedules are on the basis of 50% upfront, 40% at the halfway point and 10% on completion. We will give you plenty of notice of starting date so you can make your necessary arrangements.
Stage 4 – Build
During your build we will keep you informed at every step of the way. We will help you plan in order to minimise disruption.
Stage 5 – Sign off
On completion the architect will sign off when you are happy with everything.
We know that you will love your new home and hope that you might recommend us to your friends and family.
